Core Responsibilities

As our Financial Officer, you'll be the backbone of our fiscal accountability and planning.

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare, analyze, and manage monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Forecast revenue, expenses, and create strategic financial plans.
  • Generate balance sheets, cash flow, and profit/loss statements.

Budgeting & Expense Control

  • Create, track, and revise department-wise budgets.
  • Monitor expenditures and highlight cost-saving opportunities.
  • Flag over-budget activities with leadership alerts.

Audit & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure tax, payroll, and financial documentation complies with Nepali regulations.
  • Coordinate with auditors for timely reviews and reports.
  • Maintain audit trails and financial security protocols.

Record Keeping & Confidentiality

  • Securely maintain all financial records and transaction logs.
  • Manage sensitive financial data with discretion.
  • Use proper tools (Excel, Notion, Tally, or QuickBooks) for record integrity.

Vendor & Client Payment Tracking

  • Track incoming client payments and pending invoices.
  • Schedule and process vendor payouts.
  • Maintain transparent logs of financial obligations and receivables.

Payroll & Compensation Coordination

  • Manage payroll schedules, reimbursements, and bonus records.
  • Collaborate with HR for performance-linked payouts.
  • Ensure timely deposits and records for all team members.

Qualifications & Skills

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, analytical financial expert who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Required

  • Based in Nepal (any city)
  • Bachelor’s completed degree or Ongoing in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Prior experience in financial roles
  • Proficiency in Excel, Sheets, and accounting tools
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently and remotely

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Nepali accounting and tax system
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books)
  • Familiarity with startup operations or SaaS models
  • Excellent time and task management
  • Understanding of financial forecasting and modeling
